Library Management
The Library RFID Automation System, LIBRA, integrates RFID technologies with web-based applications to produce an efficient, ideal and self-service library environment. This system benefits both users and librarians resulting in more updated inventory information, reduced labour costs, higher productivity and an enhanced level of customer service.

HKC Automated Storage and Retrieval System (ASRS) for Library Book Vault
The Book Vault at Singapore Changi Airport Terminal 3 is a sophisticated solution aimed at optimizing the retrieval and return processes of books. This system utilizes Autonomous Mobile Robots (AMR) equipped with robotic arms, elevators, and grippers. These robots interact seamlessly with specially designed bookshelves, ensuring efficient handling of books during both retrieval and return operations.
Housed in a glass enclosure, a robotic arm navigates the shelves to fetch and organize titles based on patrons’ requests, significantly reducing manual and labor-intensive tasks.
Visitors can select their preferred books through a touchscreen kiosk, after which the robot delivers the chosen title to a designated collection point.
With all components designed to be movable, the Book Vault allows for easy deployment, maintenance, and configuration to adapt to dynamic environments.

AI and Future Enhancements
– Uses AI to analyze borrowing trends.
– Strategically positions popular books near collection stations.
– Employs visual AI camera for precise book positioning during returns.
– Detects foreign objects (can identify over 100 objects) using deep learning and transfers them to a dedicated bin.
